Does any iTunes Linux exist?

This question has become very much common these days that is there any iTunes Linux solution?  If we talk officially then there is no solution exists. There are number of people that are using apple’s iPhones and iPods, these people have installed Linux in their computer systems. In order to connect iPhones or iPods with computer system, there should be iTunes Linux solution. It is expected that apple should develop such solution in order to help people but if we think practically, this is not feasible.

         It is very much interesting to note that there are iTunes for windows and Mac. We can easily synchronize our devices with these operating systems by using iTunes.

         There are number of reasons due to which apple is not launching iTunes Linux solution. The most common and major reason behind this is that, Apple doesn’t want Linux to be a successful operating system in the market. Most of the people are using windows and Mac in their home computers. Window users are also giving profit to Apple. Apple considers Linux its competitor in the market. That is why; Apple doesn’t want that Linux user enjoy the beautiful features of iPhones and iPods.

         Apple is not letting Linux users to synchronize their IODs with Linux operating systems. Hence it has become very much difficult for the persons to connect their devices with operating systems having Linux. As I said above that there is no official solution of this problem. It is very much interesting to note that clever developers have developed an application named WINE. Most of the people referred it is windows emulator. In reality, it is an application that is run on Linux and enables iPhones and iPods to get synchronized with Linux operating system.       

         WINE creates a windows or Mac like environment in Linux operating system. This enables the synchronization of iPhones or iPods with Linux operating system. This application is not developed by Apple itself but clever Developers have found the solution of this problem.

         Now anyone can connect iPhone or iPod with Linux operating system by using this application. One can easily download this application form internet and install it. After that Linux users can enjoy the wonderful features of I devices. Hence it is useless to wait for the Apple to launch iTunes Linux solution officially, connect to the internet and download any version of WINE and synchronize your iPod with Linux operating system.

iTunes for Linux: VirtualBox v. Wine

One reason some people do not like using Linux operating system is because they will not be able to run their favorite software in it. Such programs may be available for Windows or Mac, but a Linux edition can be very difficult to obtain. Some common examples include Apple iTunes, Adobe Photoshop and Microsoft Office. These three programs can actually be used in Linux and this write-up will highlight the options available to you. Two options are available to you. You can use WINE to get iTunes for Linux or it can be run in a virtual device using VirtualBox. 

It is not difficult to use any of the two and they are both free. However, their mode of operation is completely different and using VirtualBox will require that you install a full licensed Windows copy. 

WINE makes it possible to run Windows applications in Linux without copying Windows. It accomplishes this by capture all the dll plus function calls from Windows and administering them by itself. It may also get them converted into a form that can be understood by the Linux OS. What this means is that Windows is not required to run Windows applications. 

WINE can be gotten in the usual manner via the package manager. If for example you are running Ubuntu, follow this path: System, Administration, after that click on Synaptic Package Manager. Once you are there you can search for WINE, and install the app when you find it, and then visit the Apple website and download iTunes. At the moment, there is nothing like iTunes for linux, at least not officially. However if you are an iPod user or you make use of any other device that runs iOS, then it might be your wish that one exists at the moment. But even if one exists, it will not improve the situation in any way. Why is there no iTunes for Linux answer? Apparently Apple creating a compatible solution will make a lot of sense but it is looking like something that is not practicable.

The number of iPods that exists is more than ninety million. Most of the things Apple has done to stop iPods from synchronizing with Linux systems have constantly been foiled by developers who use some other means to enable it. These developers create other iTunes for Linux alternatives by developing other applications that can be downloaded from the internet free of charge.

All the iTunes-related difficulties as regards the Linux OS you have been experiencing can be taken care of by using WINE. Wine is actually an app that makes it possible for users to run a Windows program within the Linux OS. It is the best iTunes for Linux remedy for now.
